Spotlight Saturday is a weekly feature, created by Josie at Josie’s Book Corner, dedicated to spotlighting and pinpointing some of the things over the week that have caught my attention more than usual, things I’ve particularly loved, etc.
It’s my first time doing a feature. My fangirl corner is up to work, and since this is the new year I wanted to do something new. I had my midterms exam this week so I barely blogged during the holidays. Pardon my disappearance. With that said, of course I’ll be blogging more. This fangirl is totally up for a challenge. All eyes and ears on every new release of anything. So here goes my first Spotlight Saturday. (Btw, I think this will be up on Sunday. But it still counts because it’s not Sunday on every timezone. :3)
I’ve been stalking wandering about since yesterday and I found some pretty cool blogs on WordPress. But the person who really caught my attention was Veda from Bookzillan Society. Her blog is ah-mazing! Her graphics are up to point and I just love bloggers with a keen eye for design. She’s so cool. Go give her a visit! ❤
I was not able to read much due to inconsistent exam scheduling. But, I was able to visit our school library and spotted Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi. I immediately borrowed it and I am currently reading it right now to help my mind wander off before I review for my remaining midterm exams. And also I am way off my TBR. Oops.
While I was sneaking into reading some blog posts, these were the ones that made me forget that I need to review. Windie at the Geek Apprentice gave out some tips for bloggers on how to handle html. Even if I know how to handle html (because it’s technically related to what I am taking up), I understand that other bloggers may need some help on understanding how html works. Her post is very helpful and it will definitely help others grasp the concept that will help them express themselves more. Meanwhile, my reading buddy Maan at Pigeon Reads talked about Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo and shared her thoughts. Spoiler warning though. I can say that while I am to still share my thoughts for this book, Maan did pretty well on expressing her thoughts about the book that we surprisingly have not picked up sooner despite of the hype.
I was looking for some new music to listen to, then I stumbled upon Buzzfeed’s video about Ideal Body Types Throughout History. Did you guys hear that awesome background music? Now, I can’t stop listening to it. And by it, I mean Raindrops by SNBRN feat. Kerli. EARGASM, I TELL YOU. Then I listened to Kerli all night on Spotify. Absolute heaven, and great music for fashion shows. 😉
Where has my week gone? Honestly, the highlight of my week is right now. It’s a Saturday and I am resting from the hassle that my midterms have given me. It’s not over but I still have two days to spare to review, one of which I already reviewed for on the supposed date of the exam. Somehow, when I picked up a book for comfort, it got better. I love rest days. I love it because I feel refreshed and I was able to think. It was my first time to schedule blog posts and it felt amazing.
Simply put, this summarizes my weekend.
“Is that possible?”
“I never ask that question until after we’ve done it.”
-Han Solo to Rey in Stars Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens
And this is me going at it hoping that I aced my exams. Phew.
Yay! I did it. I finally participated in a weekly feature and drafted tons of blog posts that I will publish. This is the life. Hope you guys are having a good crazy weekend. What crazy things happened to you guys? ❤
Shatter Me, yay! I really hope you’re enjoying it, it’s such a great book! And good luck for your exams!! ❤

It’s actually a good thing. Because I might be more enthusiastic in reading more after Shatter Me. It’s entertaining so far 🙂
And thank you! 🙂 I will do my best. ^_^
