Where have I been? Hahaha. One minute I’m rampage posting and then the next thing you know, my blog goes *croo* *croo*. Well, here’s a simple answer and it begins with a “T”. Before I graduate from college, I must have this. You probably already know what it is. It is now a forbidden word. Let’s just go with the highlight of my week.

This is actually for another post but then again, I am too excited. I actually have already gushed about this on twitter, and I just adore this blogger to bits. She’s MC at Blame It On The Books.

She’s friendly, pretty and an all-around adorable blogger. I love reading every feature and every blog post MC does, because they are so fun to read. I especially love her Make Me Read It feature, because it gets out the creative juices out of people by talking as their favorite character of the book they recommended to MC. Plus, she’s the host this month for the Fanboy Book Club’s read for March. 😀

I was lucky enough that NetGalley granted me permission to read this before it comes out. The book gods have been making me feel very blessed. And the book is The Darkest Corners by Kara Thomas.

I marked this book as “read” on my Goodreads, but I still haven’t finished it. I plan on finishing it soon, but I kept putting it down because my heart can’t take the suspense and the thrill. It literally makes my heart stop, which is a good thing. Because when I read a chapter, I feel like I want to grab on to something. I cannot wait to gush about this in a review, because I feel like this will be my first 5 star read for 2016. //You can all gasp now. Hahaha.

SpotlightP

My friends Trisha from The Bookgasm Blog and Bea from Beatrice Learns to Read are celebrating their blogiversaries!

I also came across some really amazing bookish blog posts.

Sarah from Sublime Reads made an honest book trailer for 99 Days by Katie Cotugno. It had some spoilers, but honestly, I love honest book trailers. I hope they make more of these.

Shanelle, a teen trendsetter shared her thoughts on Paper Lantern Lit and it is all about what do you do when you love a book but no one else is reading it. I can say that it is a wonderful read, especially since a lot of us can probably relate to it.

SpotlightMMy heart goes for Troye Sivan, although you still cannot make me say that I like him. I enjoyed listening to this particular song, until my laptop decided to crash and make my life miserable. And that is Youth by Troye Sivan.

LEONARDO DICAPRIO FINALLY WON A FREAKING OSCAR. I MEAN, COME ON. HE FINALLY WON.

I personally haven’t watched the whole awards show because I am definitely curious about Chris Rock’s monologue and Alejandro Inarritu’s speech, but darn it. I only saw Leo’s speech, because it was freaking amazing that he finally won that golden man. Seeing Leo get that Oscar topped the other moments of my week which is:

-Retaining my scholarship

-Starting my third semester for my 2nd year

-Getting my passport

Honestly, Leo getting that Oscar is the bomb. Congratulations Leo! YOU DESERVE IT. YOU SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN IT EARLIER BUT STILL.

And that concludes my week. Pretty boring, uneventful and really weird. But yeah, how was your week?

I Smell A Hiatus || Spotlight Saturday #2

Spotlight

SPOTLIGHT SATURDAY IS A WEEKLY FEATURE, CREATED BY JOSIE AT JOSIE’S BOOK CORNER, DEDICATED TO SPOTLIGHTING AND PINPOINTING SOME OF THE THINGS OVER THE WEEK THAT HAVE CAUGHT MY ATTENTION MORE THAN USUAL, THINGS I’VE PARTICULARLY LOVED, ETC.

Hello you lovely human beings! The previous Spotlight Saturday received amazing feedback so I decided to keep it steady. Gosh, I really should participate on weekly activities more (well the book club has it).

This week is full on crazy. It was a rollercoaster of emotions that sometimes did not make sense. I mean… my midterms just ended and our finals is already killing me. So, I think I’m limited to posting at least two times a week. One for an FBC activity, and one refresher. Because let’s face it, I can’t stay away too long. Wait, who said anything about a hiatus? (Also remind me that I should stop posting these things on a Sunday at our time. Teehee.)

But before anything else, I want to highlight some of the peculiar things that made my week.

SpotlightB

I can definitely say that this blogger has been the most true and honest person here in the blogosphere. I always stay tuned for whatever she posts, and most of them really are the highlight of my week. She is also one of the few who was kind enough to notice me when I was still practically a tiny dot here on WordPress. And that is Wesaun from Oreos and Books. If you haven’t visited her yet, you should probably have an oreo ready first.

*throws tons of bishie sparkles all over the room* I am so excited to start reading this! Red Rising has been on my books-that-I-just-admire-from-afar shelf so it must be one step up to my reading goals. Reading more fantasy, and it’s with a male lead, and a buddy read with Joan at Fiddler Blue. Amazing week ahead ❤

SpotlightP

In summary: There has been a lot of posts that made up my week.

Alex at Fiery Reads made a wonderful discussion post about bookworm’s feels about our .

Bree at The Literary Hellion is just the best because she triumphed and proved that book bloggers are pretty much batman. We now have bragging rights to say, “Because I’m Batman.”

Ari at The Daydreaming Bookworm discussed about the pros and cons of having a geometrical relationship in a novel. And I have to say, IT’S ALL SO TRUE.

So why is Zara Larsson still not a thing? I mean her songs are the bomb. She has been on my radar since last year but she barely gets noticed in my environment. They just say that her songs are “good for jamming”.

It’s probably just my friends.

Alan Rickman truly was a great man. In his contribution to this life, may we remember all of the amazing things he left behind. His death is not the end, for we will always remember him.

He will be truly missed. No words could describe him. Rest in peace, Alan Rickman. You’ll forever be in our hearts.

This Is New || Spotlight Saturday #1

Spotlight

Spotlight Saturday is a weekly feature, created by Josie at Josie’s Book Corner, dedicated to spotlighting and pinpointing some of the things over the week that have caught my attention more than usual, things I’ve particularly loved, etc.

It’s my first time doing a feature. My fangirl corner is up to work, and since this is the new year I wanted to do something new. I had my midterms exam this week so I barely blogged during the holidays. Pardon my disappearance. With that said, of course I’ll be blogging more. This fangirl is totally up for a challenge. All eyes and ears on every new release of anything. So here goes my first Spotlight Saturday. (Btw, I think this will be up on Sunday. But it still counts because it’s not Sunday on every timezone. :3)

I’ve been stalking wandering about since yesterday and I found some pretty cool blogs on WordPress. But the person who really caught my attention was Veda from Bookzillan Society. Her blog is ah-mazing! Her graphics are up to point and I just love bloggers with a keen eye for design. She’s so cool. Go give her a visit! ❤

I was not able to read much due to inconsistent exam scheduling. But, I was able to visit our school library and spotted Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi. I immediately borrowed it and I am currently reading it right now to help my mind wander off before I review for my remaining midterm exams. And also I am way off my TBR. Oops.

SpotlightP.png

While I was sneaking into reading some blog posts, these were the ones that made me forget that I need to review. Windie at the Geek Apprentice gave out some tips for bloggers on how to handle html. Even if I know how to handle html (because it’s technically related to what I am taking up), I understand that other bloggers may need some help on understanding how html works. Her post is very helpful and it will definitely help others grasp the concept that will help them express themselves more. Meanwhile, my reading buddy Maan at Pigeon Reads talked about Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo and shared her thoughts. Spoiler warning though. I can say that while I am to still share my thoughts for this book, Maan did pretty well on expressing her thoughts about the book that we surprisingly have not picked up sooner despite of the hype.

I was looking for some new music to listen to, then I stumbled upon Buzzfeed’s video about Ideal Body Types Throughout History. Did you guys hear that awesome background music? Now, I can’t stop listening to it. And by it, I mean Raindrops by SNBRN feat. Kerli. EARGASM, I TELL YOU. Then I listened to Kerli all night on Spotify. Absolute heaven, and great music for fashion shows. 😉

SpotlightMm

Where has my week gone? Honestly, the highlight of my week is right now. It’s a Saturday and I am resting from the hassle that my midterms have given me. It’s not over but I still have two days to spare to review, one of which I already reviewed for on the supposed date of the exam. Somehow, when I picked up a book for comfort, it got better. I love rest days. I love it because I feel refreshed and I was able to think. It was my first time to schedule blog posts and it felt amazing.

SpotlightQ.png

Simply put, this summarizes my weekend.

“Is that possible?”

“I never ask that question until after we’ve done it.”

-Han Solo to Rey in Stars Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

And this is me going at it hoping that I aced my exams. Phew.

Yay! I did it. I finally participated in a weekly feature and drafted tons of blog posts that I will publish. This is the life. Hope you guys are having a good crazy weekend. What crazy things happened to you guys? ❤
