Hello everyone! My name is Bianca and I am your first formal host for the month of February in the Fanboy Book Club. I am so excited to finally launch this baby that was conceptualized on my humble little laptop, one misty Monday morning. I am so glad that a lot of people were enthusiastic about this, and I owe you all guys my biggest thanks.
To formally launch this book club, the other members and I are tasked to write introductions. This is so as to formally launch the club to everyone. Off we go!
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I’m Bianca and I love every fandom in the universe. I made this book club because I can only tolerate books with male leads. I hope I could find other people who feel the same. ❤
How did you come up with your blog name?
It just came to me one day, I guess? I was actually watching an introduction episode of the Big Brother series and thought of a unique monicker if I ever got in. So I ended up with The Ultimate Fangirl. I like too many things that I don’t know how I still have a life of my own. But it’s one of those days where you just cannot choose just one fandom to fit in your tumblr introduction page.
Now for the fun part:
Who is your favorite male character?
My favorite male character is Leonard Peacock from Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock by Matthew Quick. Why?
He felt so real. I could compare it to the time where I couldn’t grasp a certain thing, and he shared the same journey with me. At the same time, he introduced me to Humphrey Bogart. Who knew that all of those actors back in the 40’s were all so badass and gorgeous at the same time?
Who are your book husbands/book boyfriends?
Let’s see…
There’s Kenji Kishimoto from The Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi. He kept me going on reading the series <3. Then there’s this really obscure character in The Hunger Games whose name is Darius. And there’s also the matter of Oliver from Althea and Oliver.
Book with a male lead that really stuck to your heart?
You guys are probably going to say, “OKAY WE GET IT. YOU LIKE HIM SO MUCH.” Because my answer will always be The Perks of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. I just don’t have any boundaries. It’s my most prized possession and my favorite reread. What could I ask for more?
